Urbanism, Sanitation & Housing
The strong national demographic growth, coupled with the rural exodus increases the pressure on the urban centers in Chad. The main centers are thus faced with a significant deficit of basic services.

Difficulties related to sanitation, hygiene and public health are perceptible. Only about 12% of the population of N'Djamena has access to the public drinking water distribution network.

Current national housing needs are estimated at more than 350,000 units. This represents an average annual need of 21,000 units and the figure is increasing.

All this contributes to the dynamism of the sector.
